Why I started Hello Luma
Emilie's Story
“I wanted to create an agency that goes beyond the transactional — one that lights the path to someone’s next chapter.”
I have spent the last nine years working across the healthcare sector in both frontline services and recruitment.
Throughout that time, one thing became increasingly clear to me, the most meaningful outcomes always came from genuine human connection.
I saw firsthand the difference that listening, understanding, and building real relationships could make, not just for businesses, but for the people behind every role.
I truly believe that when we work in service to others, only beauty can follow. I trust that when the timing is right, the right opportunity, connection, or path will naturally unfold for each person.
Hello Luma was created from a deep passion for bringing more humanity into recruitment. A belief that the process of finding the right people or finding the right opportunity, should feel supportive, aligned, and genuinely positive.
Recruitment can often feel overwhelming, transactional, and disconnected. Hello Luma was born from the belief that it doesn’t have to be that way.
That every conversation should start with listening.
That every placement should feel right for everyone involved.
That the experience should feel light, empowering, and grounded in real connection.
At its core, Hello Luma exists to create meaningful relationships that lead to lasting outcomes for people, teams, and businesses alike.

Oh, and there’s Mitsie.
Mitsie is Hello Luma’s unofficial mascot — a very fluffy, very enthusiastic Pomeranian who has a habit of appearing on video calls and stealing the show.
She represents everything Hello Luma stands for: warmth, personality, and making every interaction a little bit brighter.
She’s not available for placement. Trust us, we’ve tried to negotiate.
